We specialize in analyzing policy questions that most affect urban areas, often using the Charlotte area as our research laboratory. Our Ph.D. students specialize in urban policy, social policy, economic policy, education policy, and environmental policy, just to name a few.

Biographical Information: Hualiu Yang completed his bachelor degree in Business Management at China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), China, in 2005. He received his master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) in 2008. He did an internship in the Public Safety Department in Moore County from September to December 2008, North Carolina, US. He then did an internship in the Business Service Department at UNCP from January to July in 2009. He entered the Ph.D program in Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2010.
